We loved staying at our vacation rental in Ha’ena. The house was on the beach and had a deck perfect for enjoying our morning coffee all the way through star gazing at night. We could walk down the beach to Tunnels or take a quick drive into Hanalei Bay. The property met all of our needs and the property manager was super helpful and responsive. My only suggestion would be to update the ground floor space. We did not use this area aside from the gym, but a larger family may have been disappointed with the quality of the ground floor space as compared to how cool the main living area is. Five stars - totally recommend this place!!

We stayed in the King Hale for a magical week. I only swish it was longer.
The house is exactly what I wanted. It was large enough that all of our party had privacy, and a separate bathroom. There was ample common space to spread out and enjoy the stunning views. The house is very well maintained and provided with everything you would need . The kitchen is Enormous and stocked with good quality pots, dishes etc. Beach chairs, cooler, umbrellla and snorkeling gear iare also provided, This place was absolute paradise.

Our family of 8 adults and 1 child had a phenomenal time at the King Hale rental property. If you're looking for a remote location, this is it. The view was incredible in both the front and back of the property and the "end of the road" nature of being so far up the north shore really gave this a secluded charm. I'd recommend it even more than being "in town" like Hanalei as long as you adequately stock up on food and drink for your stay. For that, there's a Costco and Target in Lihue that you can stop at with your rental car before the hour-long drive to Wainiha. The house was clean, the property management was courteous, and the check-in and check-out was a breeze. The one small issue, that I'm sure the managers will correct shortly, was that one of the guest bedrooms was missing two sets of blinds and lacked privacy as the lanai went right outside of the bedroom. We remedied this by hanging up blankets. As far as the beach, there are great options just a 2 minute walk up the shore in either direction. Right in front of the property is a tide-pool and pretty snorkeling reef where we saw various sea life like parrotfish, sea cucumbers, rays, and even an eel. I don't often write reviews, but we left this place KNOWING that we booked the right house.

The windows, screens and doors were in pristine condition which is a total benefit - we were able to have the windows and/or doors open all the time to hear the ocean waves! The balcony is AWESOME!! Front and back! The kitchen is fully stocked with items for cooking and eating in. We LOVED being here. The only downside we found is that the gym and the fourth bedroom are not accessible via the inside of the main house (you have to go outside of the main house and enter each separately) and although the 4th bedroom has its own small living space to include a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and living area, it is very disappointing compared to the upper main house living space and especially bedrooms. The guests in your group/family that stay in there, do have a lower view of the ocean from the living space, but the bedroom is in the back with no view and is unfortunate. The gym is an added bonus and a nice space to workout in, again though it is only accessible from the outside. The relief map of Kauai hanging in the gym is a really nice & fun added touch, and one that we love - as we have that very same one in our home! We didn't have hot water for the first 3 days of our stay, due to the solar hot water heater not working. The team did their best to get it working asap. Other than that, everything else was excellent. Thank-you, Vy Li

This iconic town offers surfing, restaurants and shopping. The adults ate at Bar Acuda one evening and it was the best meal we've had in a long time. The property host, Kevin, was fantastic—very responsive and helpful. We forgot a suitcase at the property and he graciously retrieved it and helped us get it back promptly. Our family is already planning our next trip to King Hale.

The house is large enough for our family (8 adults and 2 kids). Loved the spacious Kitchen and living room. Would've liked to have a larger dining table, and the BBQ was a bit old and small for the house. They are doing renovation and couldn't accommodate some of the promised amenities, but Kevin was great at keeping us happy. We are sure to come back soon.

This is a beautiful home with incredible views from all sides of the house. We had our own beach right at our back door. The layout of the house is perfect. The home came with all the appliances you would possibly need. My only complaint is that one room has a pullout bed and I think it should be a full size bed. Some of the blinds were broken. However, it is understandable that replacement parts may take time. There was also a power outage for 20 hours, which we heard was a common occurrence. I think a large, beautiful house like this should have a backup generator. Some of the outdoor furniture also should be replaced. With all this being said, we enjoyed the house and would stay there again.

Best suggestion is to rent 's a 4 minute ride to Tunnels and no worries about parking. Home is big, bright and airy. Great Kitchen. Hawaii Life very responsive. 4. The entry gate was not functional.

King Hale exceeded any and all expectations! Walking in the house and taking in the incredible views from the wall of windows looking out on the ocean took our breath away. The photos of the house on the website accurately show the house and property. Picture perfect. It was worth waiting almost one year to finally get to stay here. The home is large and easily accommodated my husband and I along with two other couples who joined us for part of our stay. The kitchen is well appointed and had everything one would need to cook almost anything, plus ample serving pieces.

We loved the beach walks to Tunnels and Haena Beaches and also had fun making sand castles on the beach in front of the house. It was enjoyable to observe sea turtles and Monk seals nearby.

King Hale is the perfect place to get away for a couple of weeks and relax from everyday life. It has everything you need for spending time at the beach--beach towels, sand toys, snorkels & masks, beach chairs and more.

Ian was quick to respond to any questions we had. Very thankful for the Solar power! Our only concern during our stay was the neighbor's use of a drone. We noticed it a couple of times hovering in front of the property.

Had a wonderful four nights at King Hale on north shore of Kauai. Sunrises and sunsets were the best.

The home had a gorgeous view from the main living area and the location was private and very relaxing. It was frustrating to find out the oven was faulty after hiring a chef to provide two evening meals for us. Also the main TV did not work. The property manager did attempt to address these problems. Otherwise the house was very comfortable and offered our family a beautiful place to relax in between our excursions!

The home had a gorgeous view from the main living area and the location was private and very relaxing. On our trip we had six adults and children ages three, two and one. This home had a beautiful view from all rooms, an amazingly well equipped kitchen, and many bells and whistles, including a great TV, however we feel the location is best for adults for a couple of reasons. One is that the water in front of the property had a drop off shelf which was not conducive to toddlers. The home had a gorgeous view from the main living area and the location was private and very relaxing. It was frustrating to find out the oven was faulty after hiring a chef to provide two evening meals for us. Also the main TV did not work. The property manager did attempt to address these problems. The ocean views from the entire house are spectacular, the grounds are beautiful and the upstairs of the house is as comfortable a place to be as you can imagine. The kitchen and grill set up are great for cooking and entertaining. The two living areas allow for TV watching in one area congregating in another. The downstairs suite is as described and is fine as a kids' sleeping area. I give 4 stars for general condition because the A.C. was not functioning in one of the master suites during our stay. While it cools down at night, A.C. does make for a more comfortable night's rest. I only give 4 stars for the location because you cannot swim at the beach immediately in front of the house. Swimming beach is about 200 yards away. We very much enjoyed swimming and snorkeling at Tunnels Beach, which is a little over a mile to the north.
