Communications with rental agency were on point from commitments booking, arrival and departure! Well appointed condo with everything you need to enjoy the beach to the pool in a very nice community. Great walking path through Princeville starts at the corner!
All you need for a comfortable stay in Princeville!

Loved that the apartment had a generous ‘starter kit’ with cleaning products, soaps, toilet paper etc. We LOVED access to the beach gear (umbrellas, beach chairs and snorkel.

It should be refunded as this unit was far from clean and pristine. Unfortunately, the furniture was dirty, some worn and holes in the corner, as in the kitchen chairs. The patio furniture was so rusty on the bottom that it left rust and metal chunks on the patio floor when moved and sat in the chairs. The swivel chair cushions were filthy. The living room carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced, the bathroom shower glass in the master was full of hardwater and soap scum. Patio screen doors come off track. The screen had recently been replaced, but the excess screen was just left untrimmed around the door. The glass stove top needs to be cleaned and scrubbed, the tea kettle on top of it was filthy. We put it in a cabinet so we didn't have to look at it. The silverware drawers and shelf lining needs to be replaced. Baseboards had not been wiped and the white walls have handprints by light switches and on the walls by the entryways. The list could go on. Windows and blinds were filthy or unworking.
We notified the on-island contact that there was only one key, which was the one form the lock box. For a 6-person condo there should have been a back-up key or second key. We notified her of only one key. She said the cleaning lady must have taken it and would have her return it. It never happened. Initial info at booking said the garage was available, but it was not. The owners car was in the garage. It would not have been a problem, except for the buildings were getting roofs replaced in the complex and the construction workers had supplies stacked in many of the parking places. We sent a communication at checkout, but never got a response.

Gates to Paradise

Located in the heart of Princeville this condo is within walking distance from many spectacular spots (Queens Bath, Hideway Beach) and short driving distance from Hanalei or Tunnels or Napali Coast State Park. Place is spacious and well equipped. Definitely worth staying in.

Reviewed on 2021-12-05 by Kim H. , Shoreline, WA United StatesIt's our 3rd time renting in Princeville. The condo complex is central and well-maintained. Pool is a bit small, however, and not heated. The condo was clean and well-stocked with towels and bedding. Terrible water pressure and all showers need new shower heads. The fans were a bit wobbly and noisy, but functional. Air-conditioning only in the common area and master bedroom. Kitchen was pretty well stocked, missing baking sheets. Nice extras, tho, like a coffee grinder and scissors. Knives needed sharpening. Liz, our island concierge, was timely and helpful. Would consider staying at the Plantations again but would prefer a better positioned unit, maybe one near the pool or on the outer ring. While our lanai was good-sized, it overlooked a small grassy area and other units. But the complex location was ideal; close enough to a few beaches (Sealodge, Hideaways, Anini, Queens' Bath) and 20-minute walk to the shopping area. Overall we had a great time on Kauai!

They provided beach towels and the unit was very clean and spacious. The only negative I can think of is the AC doesn’t reach the guest rooms as well as the rest of the house and those rooms were pretty hot. Overall I would give it a 9 out of 10.

We also appreciated all the beach gear that was available. Check-in was overall easy and flexible. The condo itself was bright, well-lit, and perfectly met our needs. The kitchen was well-stocked with cutting boards, coffeemaker, pots, pans, etc. The concierge contact was extremely thorough in responding with various things to check out and see. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable location!
Great location for a vacation

This top floor all one level premier 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom unit with AC features a master suite with a king sized bed, spacious bathroom with double sinks and counters, a large soaking tub and shower, and walk in closet. All the luxuries of a hotel with the amenities of a home.
Comfortable living room with large screen TV.
You will find air conditioning in the living, dining, kitchen area as well as the master bedroom. There are ceiling fans throughout. Peaceful and quiet. This is a top floor condo with no common walls, just plenty of windows to catch the tropical trade wind breezes.
Three spacious bedrooms (each with their own bathroom) provide comfort for every guest! All of the bedrooms have a ceiling fan and ample natural light.
Steps to the World famous "Makai" Golf course and very close to all of the beautiful beaches (Anini, Hideaways, Hanalei Bay, Lumahai, Tunnels, and Ke'e) on Kauai's north shore. On site fitness center!
