Located on Kua Bay, Maniniowali Beach boasts some of the finest white sand and crystal clear water on the Big Island. When the conditions are right, it’s known as one of the best beaches for swimming and bodyboarding. Snorkeling is another popular activity here. The far right side of the beach as well as the rocky area on the left where there’s some coral are the best places to look for tropical fish and Hawaiian sea turtles.
Mornings are the best time to visit as the wind tends to pick up in the afternoons. Pack a lunch, a couple of beach chairs, a towel or two, some snorkel gear and boogie boards, and enjoy a wonderful day at Kua Bay. The Big Island is full of beautiful beaches and this is on the top of the list!
