THE SET UP:

Tucked within Honolulu's most prestigious neighborhood and yet close to everything, such as Whole Foods, Core Power Yoga, Kahala Mall, Diamond Head & Kapiolani Park. You will find ultra comfort and quiet in this cozy sanctuary that has a gated entry and lush landscaped yard. Queen-sized bed with plush linens, split AIR-CONDITIONING, full bathroom with large, walk-in shower and well-appointed finishes. The unit includes a fully stocked, efficiently sized KITCHENETTE (no stove), with everything you need to make meals during your stay.

There is also a mini-BBQ grill on the covered patio that offers you an extension of the living space, surrounded by lush garden scape. Plenty of street parking within a quiet, upscale, residential surrounding. Includes TV, DVD, Bluetooth speaker & 5-G WI-FI. The Bungalow is attached to a lovely home with its own entrance, completely separate. This property is also a few short blocks to beautiful beaches. Walk or drive, you choose. Also near a major BUS route.

Home was as described. Very pleasant homeowners and management company, and neighborhood was mostly quiet (occasional barking dogs.Very relaxing, didn’t mind eating outdoors on covered lanai because weather pleasant while there. Although unit had hot plate and toaster oven, there was very little counter space so could not cook dinners. Kahala mall, with restaurants, shops, groceries, drugstore a mile away, so fairly convenient. Couple things to keep in mind—no comfortable seating indoors for two—only one stuffed chair. Also, no eating facilities inside, so if weather happens to be inclement, would not have a good place to eat inside. We didn’t mind because weather was excellent for us in January.

We had an amazing time. Everything was wonderful and it's the perfect little cozy place. Close to some of the most beautiful beaches. Easy to get to shopping and Waikiki but far enough away to feel like an escape. Diana made it very easy for us and was a great host.

The property management team at Bird of Paradise exceeded the highest of expectations. Working on the island several weeks, the daily stress of my job melted away the moment I arrived "home" to my vacation rental. The apartment was immaculate, well equipped, and one could not ask for a better location. Just an easy stroll through a gorgeous neighborhood to a spectacular ocean spot with captivating sun-rises and sun-sets. Whether you're planning a short "va-cay" or a longer stay, Bird of Paradise will make your Oahu experience a pleasant and memorable one.

The Bird of Paradise was the perfect vacation rental for me. It is small, but for a single person, very ample in size. I loved the lanai and small yard, which was private and peaceful. The location was ideal for walking to several beaches close by. The bird song in the morning and evening was pure joy! I couldn't have asked for a better location and space to spend a wonderful 30-day reset from daily life.
