Just across the street from the sand, Hale Hoku is a 5 bedroom/4 bathroom beach cottage with a sunny and open floor plan. Built up on post and pier, it is as if you are residing in your own private and breezy treehouse!

Three master bedrooms with king beds and ensuite baths. The fourth bedroom with king bed and fifth bedroom with two twins will share a guest bathroom.

The large grassy back yard sets the perfect stage for taking in the brilliant Kauai nighttime sky or a ripe opportunity to test your green thumb on the various fruit trees. Being just steps from the beach and town, the home's location couldn't be more ideal.

Hanalei is a 2-mile long half-moon bay with white sand and maje stic mountains - more than just beautiful, Hanalei is also an amazing ocean playground. Loved by visitors and residents alike, there is no place like Hanalei. While Hanalei is small enough to get around by foot or bike, a car is recommended if wanting to travel outside of the area.

We stayed at Hale Hoku for spring break 2024 with extended family. The three king bedrooms with their own bathrooms were a huge plus. The nice furnishings and fully-stocked kitchen made our stay very comfortable. Great house!

Our family had a wonderful time here. We enjoyed the house. We would give it a 10 out of 10 and we stayed here two years in a row.

I started an environmental nonprofit to inspire kids to care for the environment. So,I really appreciate all the Tupperware that Family has it, so it cuts down on the need for a Ziploc bags and plastic bags. My only three recommendations and these are very small. It Would be nice to have a long mirror in the rooms. And, they do a really good job using environmental products, I would just add use an environmentally friendly dishwashing detergent. I really like the brand ecoover. I’m sure there’s other ones as well. I also recommend providing shampoo and conditioner for people as well. They only had body wash.

What a great spot and what a great house. Had everything we needed. Didn't want to leave...
Cooked lots for our extended family and the kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were great and the house was spotless.

The outdoor shower was a favorite.

Great communication with the Host and crew.

Rented some surfboards and used them everyday at a variety of breaks.

I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and I hope to do it again soon.

Everyone in my group was impressed with this rental home. It was very clean and well appointed. The views were amazing, the location was perfect with easy walking distance to restaurants and shops, and we had easy access to the beach as well. The spacious lanai was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. We had a such a comfortable and fantastic stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

We loved the house. It was open and clean and spacious. It was an unseasonably warm week so the rooms off the front porch were hot. Loved all the outdoor living spaces and the backyard. The proximity to town and the beach was its best feature. The outdoor shower was a plus. We appreciated the beach gear. Although the beach chairs need an upgrade. All the handles are broken making it difficult to carry to the beach. An extra refrigerator fir drinks perhaps located in the beach closet would be another great addition especially since the main one in the kitchen is temperamental as the host warned. Barbara on site was a welcome host and Lisa with the agency was invaluable as we navigated getting through all the safe travel requirements.

We had a great stay at Hale Hoku. I loved the layout of the house as well as it's cleanliness and simplicity. The open living room and kitchen was great. The bedrooms with in-room bathrooms were very spacious. The bunk room was perfect for younger kids. We really loved the house and it's proximity to the beach pavilion. We would definitely book it again.

We had a wonderful rental experience. This is the third time we have stayed in this location.
My only negative feedback is that there aren't enough large pots to cook comfortably for a family of 10 people, which certainly isn't an unexpected number in a five bedroom house.

We enjoyed the layout and space in this house. The location was prime with high walkability. Beautiful yard and excellent kitchen. Mahalo for letting us stay here. Our only suggestion is a couple of bikes and a couple of soft top surfboards in the closet downstairs. Also, the coffee pot was a little leaky, but that's an easy fix. It was great to have the coolers, beach chairs and the ping pong table was a huge hit. Good times at Hale Hoku!

Fabulous, spacious home perfect for a family get away. The front lanai offers ocean views and a relaxing spot for quiet morning coffee and evening meals. It rained almost our entire stay and we still thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Ping pong table was also a great hit. You can't go wrong in this home. We'll be back!

Although we were bumped from our original choice of a house in Hanalei, the realtor immediately found us a terrific replacement across the street. While not ocean front, this was a gorgeous, spacious home, with every amenity imaginable. The home was spotless, well appointed, and comfortable. We were very satisfied with our stay, and would come back in a heartbeat.

This has got to be the cleanest, most well appointed property we have ever stayed in. Lives much larger than the square footage shows. We were a group of 7 and it was perfect. I rented this home for an annual girls trip and it was better than I could have ever imagined. The location is ideal... within walking distance to town and the beach... and the home is wonderful! The pictures of the property are good, but don't do it justice. This is a large house and beautifully appointed. The kitchen was amazing and fully stocked, the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful, and there is plenty of space to entertain both inside and out. I will definitely return with my family some day as it was the perfect place to stay in Hanalei.

The house was in such an amazing location! 1 block from 2 beach access areas and just a couple of blocks from the heart of Hanalei. The house came with plenty of towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, kids sand toys, and a ping pong table! We stayed here with 3 families - 5 kids total and it was the perfect fit. The house itself was spotless, modern and seemingly brand new. I HIGHLY recommend this property.

This house was an amazing retreat for our family. Everyone had enough privacy with their own separate bathrooms and deck areas and the common areas were spacious. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and everything was extremely clean. We had a ping pong tournament and used the boogie boards for fun at the beach. We would highly recommend this house.

Perfect location: walk to beach and town. Plenty of room for our large family group. Added plus of ping pong table for family tournaments as well as a good supply of board games. A well maintained property with very responsive management.loved the backside views of mountains and greenery.

The house is well suited to a family vacation. Clean and well appointed. Close walking distance to the bay and town. The rental agency was wonderful and responsive. We had a truly wonderful time in Hale Hoku and would absolutely rent it again!

Wonderful north shore home in great location just off Hanalei Beach. Spotlessly clean. 2-minute walk to the beach or Hanalei town. Refillable pump shampoos/conditioners would have been nice in the showers, otherwise, the home was well appointed with comfortable mattresses and furnishings, tasteful island decor and a kitchen stocked with most everything you could ask for to dine-in and cook for a family gathering. Unfortunately the trade winds were a bit weak so evenings were warmer than expected, but we made do with the extra fans. Would definitely recommend this property!

We were 4 couples and 5 children and the house could not have been more perfect! The home has been recently remodeled and everything is brand new. 3 of the 4 large rooms have private bathrooms and one room without has a bathroom across the hall next to the smaller bunkroom. This was perfect for our situation since the couple with the older kid (5 YRS) used the bunkroom and that bathroom. The house has great front and back decks for lounging with super comfortable furniture. There is a washer and dryer in home and another one in the utility room below the house. The house is a very short walk to the beach and is stocked with beach umbrellas, chairs, coolers, boogie boards and toys for the little ones. This was a super nice touch and made the beach experience amazing. I highly recommend this home for a few friends with our without kids.

We really enjoyed our rental experience especially traveling with our 2 year old granddaughter and her parents. We all enjoyed being so close to the beach and all of the amenities at the house.

This is the second time we've worked with Kahea from Hawaii Life and she always takes care of us. The house was in pristine condition when we arrived with plenty of amenities. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children and the house was big enough to accommodate us and be comfortable. Down in the carport, they have beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, a few ice chests, etc. The outdoor shower was fantastic and had the best water pressure compared to the showers in the house. The only complaint we have, is that we couldn't stay longer.

The house has everything a family needs from knife sharpeners to boogie boards. There are plenty of towels and beach accessories. The kitchen has everything- even leftover spices! The close proximity to the Pavillion and Hanalei town makes it the perfect location. The house is always very clean upon arrival.

We spent 4 nights at the beginning of a three week trip to the islands at Hale Hoku. There were 8 adults . We LOVED this house and all agreed we would like to return. There is plenty of room, and the lanais were expansive. Very close to one of the most speculator beaches anywhere. Short walk to town, good restaurants, fun shopping. Oh and that kitchen! Initially we had no plans to cook during our short stay-- one look at the kitchen and we decided to fix a big breakfast one day and dinner another. Best equipped kitchen we have ever seen in a rental . Can't wait to go back to this little piece of paradise

You can't beat the location. We were a 1/2 block walk to the beach so we could get there quickly, come back for lunch, or make a few trips. It is not a huge house but it fit our 7 people very comfortably. Nice kitchen, well stocked with appliances, great porch, awesome back yard for our kids to play around. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hale Hoku is a beautiful, well appointed, comfortable house so close to both the beach and town. Excellent location and amenities. Loved the outdoor shower, breezy open floor plan and large bedrooms. There is so much to do in and around Hanalei that we couldn't fit it all in. We will be renting this home again next summer!

This house was amazing!! Plenty of space for our two families and we could have easily added extra people! Large bedrooms with updated bathrooms, kitchen fully stocked with everything you need & new appliances. Great outdoor decks for eating & enjoying the sunset over beautiful Hanalei Bay. Easy walk to the beach or to town makes the location ideal. We would definitely stay here again!!

The stay at Hale Hoku was like home away from home... with the exception that we were a few hundred feet from the most beautiful beach and setting in the world..we stay every summer, and with the exception of being oceanfront... this is the best location in Hanalei Bay. Super easy 3 minute walk to beach down a beautiful path, and super easy to get to town... the house is also on the less busy side of Weke road.. so you don't get much traffic from tourist heading to the pier..
The house itself was absolutely beautiful.. Newly remodeled throughout the home, with the absolute most up to date interior.. the kitchen was amazing.. everything brand new and everything you would need to cook..a good BBQ on back patio.. however we ate most all meals on the front Lanai, which is huge and also had amazing views, including a nice more that peek a boo view to the ocean. The Management team and Hawai Life were super easy and responsive throughout the entire process.

We arrived after a challenged first day, when Hanalei bridge shut down due to massive rains. They were kind enough to put us up in another lovely house outside of Princeville- a gorgeous estate in its own right. We had one night there before the bridge reopened and then they welcomed us in our new vacation home. A very responsive and courteous exchange with property manager, Bailey. She even brought avocados from her family's tree.

Now, to the house. I have to suggest one thing- they need better pictures! I have stayed in many vacation homes, done home swaps in Europe, etc, and I think this was the best vacation home we have ever stayed in. No detail was overlooked. Beautiful linens, extra towels, any beach gear you can possibly imagine for your use. We have a family of chefs and the storm had blown out the stove. They had a new one to us in two days. Talk about service-- in the meantime she brought portable burners so we could cook.

Another thing I want to note- the description says the house is 1540 sq ft. This is wrong. It is much larger. There are 5 bedrooms and four bathrooms with showers, as well as a large living room and kitchen. It has to be closer to 3000 feet. I was worried it would be cramped when I booked it, but I think it's a description error.

The house is one block from Hanalei bay, a couple of blocks from Tahiti Nue and Kalypso, and Akamai juice bar (awesome juice, bring a mason jar!). You can walk everywhere! You can also walk to the Dolphin or drive, if you plan on too many Mai Tais.

The house is beautifully decorated and has three very large outdoor spaces for outdoor dining, lounging, sunbathing, etc. There was also a ping pong table downstairs and a large yard, which the kids loved. We will continue to stay here in the future. Very highly recommended.
