Description

The Lookout House consists of an upper suite called “Ocean Lookout”, and a beautiful lower suite, “Sunrise Lookout”. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with king size bed, 1 1/2 baths, full kitchen & dining room and beautiful pentagonal glass lounge room with panoramic ocean and Haleakala views. After it has rained you can even see a huge waterfall pouring over the cliffs into the ocean a few miles away! The glass lounge room has a large day bed in it, should you feel like waking up to sunrise over the ocean. Over the master bedroom there is also a loft – ideal for extra sleeping accommodation for kids.

The house has a spacious downstairs suite with 2 private entrances. The large bedroom (king size bed) has spectacular views — you can eat home grown papayas while watching the waves crash on Kaenae peninsula and Hana without even getting out of bed. On one side the bedroom opens out onto a large covered deck, and on the other side there are French doors to a private lanai and hot tub … a special place for sunsets drinks and Kona coffee sunrises.

The large bathroom has an elegant cobalt blue tiled bath tub big enough for two – perfect for a candle-lit soak …looking out on to its own tropical garden with tranquil lotus pond and waterfalls. Or swim in our new free form jungle swimming pool. Children are welcome, but must be “swim safe” as neither our pool nor our outdoor hot tub are enclosed.

Huelo Point Lookout is a romantic Maui hideaway owned and operated by myself, Sharyn Stone, and my husband, Jeff Stone. We have been full time bed and breakfast operators since 1998 and absolutely love what we do. We provide peace and tranquility to people from all over the world.

The property is located on Maui’s rugged north shore and overlooks some of the most beautiful coastline in the world. This is truly a magical place. People feel healed by coming here, by simply being in this wondrous place. Every day brings something different. During the winter you can watch Humpback whales breach outside our windows as rainbows arc above the bluest water you’ve ever seen. Year round cleansing trade winds blow billowy white clouds across the horizon and set the ocean raging with cresting swell and whitecaps as far as the eye can see. On land, myna birds and wild parrots fly overhead. Banana trees and coconut palms abound on our land. Everywhere you turn is beauty.

And of course, there are the accommodations. We have gone to great lengths to provide our guests with everything that a great vacation hideaway should have. Comfort and tranquility set amongst the most beautiful surroundings on Maui’s north shore – that defines your stay at Huelo Point Lookout.

NOTE: OCEAN LOOKOUT is the top floor of “The Lookout House” and can be rented separately. For Ocean Lookout guests, we leave the lower floor unoccupied, giving you full privacy. Please Hawaii Life for specific pricing.
