Papakea B105 is a spacious ground floor residence that is highly upgraded on all surfaces and expertly decorated in contemporary island decor. You will love walking directly out the large sliding glass doors to the inner courtyard with koi ponds, water features, putting greens, and out towards the oceanfront pool, spa, and shuffleboard court. This home has been remodeled from top to bottom with wood grain flooring, handsome slabs of granite, stainless steel appliances, hardwood white cabinetry, and split a/c. Talk about absolutely spectacular seasonal Whale Watching and to die for year-round sunsets. 

This residence is well equipped as a home away from home and will sleep a party of four with the couch being a pull out sleeper sofa, a king bed in the master, and a washer/dryer in residence.

Papakea radiates with fun and excitement with two pool areas located in each of the 2 center courtyards that are interspersed with beautiful landscaping, multiple koi ponds and water features, and miniature golf putting greens. This larger scale resort is located on the border of Kaanapali and Honokowai making it a short walking distance to Times Supermarket, excellent local food trucks and restaurants, and close to drive to golf in either Kaanapali or Kapalua.

This was an exceptionally clean and cute vacation rental that is exactly as pictured! We would definitely stay here again! The kitchen was well equipped and organized. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet space and drawers to store clothes if needed. The bathroom was sufficient and was supplied with plenty of soft towels. We used the beach chairs and the snorkeling gear. The view from the sliding doors was lovely. Spent most of our time exploring around the island, but the grounds and the pool were nice. It’s the perfect location for exploring West Maui. It was the perfect place for two!

We have been coming to Papakea for more than a decade. We love this unit due to the ground-level location and orientation to the water. It's easy to watch whales directly from the living room. The access to the seawall, grills, pool, and putting greens is so convenient. The unit itself is beautifully remodeled and appointed. The kitchen is the most spacious well-stocked kitchen we've come across. If you love to cook, this is your unit! The mini-splits in both the living room and bedroom make for a good night's sleep on those occasional days when climate control is necessary. Papakea B105 will forever be our favorite!

I have stayed at Papakea at least 7 times over the past decade -- and at B105 for 4 out of the past 7 years. (Sadly, the pandemic forced an unwelcome 2-year hiatus.) I've always enjoyed staying at Papakea. It is low-key, conveniently located and never feels over-crowded like the larger resorts. The grounds and views are spectacular. The resort has its quirks, including an inconsistent service level at the registration desk, but that is usually the only hiccup experienced. (And, I found it much improved in 2022!) While I enjoy the appointments and amenities found in B105, the unit is now under new ownership and prices have increased significantly. Based on the published rates on the Hawaii Life website, if I were to return in 2023, my 9-night stay would cost nearly $3,000 more than what I paid in 2020 (after fees and taxes), and about $2,000 more than the 2023 rates for a comparable rental in Building G. While the new owners and management company did a wonderful job of making me feel welcome, ensuring an easy check-in process and accommodating my request for a late check out, I cannot justify reserving my favorite unit at such a premium. Alas, I fear this may be the end of an era ... With that said, if you can afford the rate and additional charges (taxes, fees and refundable deposits bring the nightly rate for a 9-night stay up to $570 rather than $400), I highly recommend B105.

It's hard to really do the view from the patio justice. Being right next to the ocean, hearing the waves, and witnessing the sheer size of the adjacent island, we enjoyed breakfast every day on the patio.

The condo is also within walking distance to some of the best restaurants and beaches on the island of Maui, and a very short drive to world-class golf and snorkeling, too.

B105 is one of our favorite vacation rentals, we always try to stay in that specific unit. It’s close to the pool, you can enjoy sunset right from your porch.
Unit is stocked well with everything you might need. Across the street is a little grocery store and coffee shop and a snorkel bobs. Everything you might need is right there!

The unit just wow'd us the moment we stepped in. It's super clean, smells fresh and everything you'll need is provisioned (from kitchen needs to bedroom linens to beach essentials and more!). Perfect view of the beach and pool from the lanai. Megan and the team are easy to interact with and will check on you from time to time. Easy checkin and checkout.
