The Royal Kahana Resort Condominiums are located in the beautiful sun-soaked shores of West Maui, centrally located between the Kaanapali and Napili-Kapalua resorts, in the quiet community of Kahana, and includes such amenities as a fitness center, concierge services, and ping pong in the building.

Outside amenities include a shuffleboard, a large, heated ocean view pool with many lounge chairs located poolside and on the grassy grounds. The poolside sun deck has both sun and palapa shaded areas as well as barbecue grills to cook up your day’s catch. Complimentary self-parking is also provided – a bonus no resort fees.

Restaurants within short walking distance include: Dollies Pizza Pub, Miso Phat sushi, China Boat, Maui Brewing Company, The Beach House next door, and McDonald’s. A quick 5-minute drive to Napili, you have the amazing Joey’s Kitchen, Fond eatery, Mammas Ribs, and Maui Tacos.

The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes and swells that influence the beach & physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a tremendous amount of sand that gradually returns in spring and summer, based on the ocean’s current activity and our island weather pattern.

This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach—the front desk posts daily whether there is beach access or not. When the resort access is closed, there is public beach access within 5 minutes' walking distance. We apologize for the inconvenience, and mahalo nui, for your understanding.

Note the Royal Kahana does not require neighboring units to give notice of current/future remodel work that will be completed. Construction can happen at any time without notice that may affect your stay. 

*Resort Notice: A resort-wide spalling repair is underway, and they're working on various lanais around the resort until at least April 2024. Noise may be heard on the property during working hours M-F: 9 AM- 4:30 PM. Rates have already been discounted to reflect this impact. Posted-8/23 and Updated- 1/23/24

This condo was extremely well organized, clean, modernized, cold AC, great view of the ocean directly, feels like vacation!! The Stice Team, managers of this property, had a high level of communication, quickly addressed a small wifi correction, and had all of the things needed to cook meals "at home." This property is walking distance of several beach fronts, but note that the beach front at Royal Kahana does not exist... but I saw sea turtles there almost every day. :) NOTE: there is some infrastructural remodal/construction happening in early 2024, so daytime was a bit noisy and midday naps were a bit difficult. Overall, we would return to this property, easily, it's safe and has everything you need. Come on now... just book the vacation already!

The rental experience was perfect from beginning to end. My husband and I could not have been happier and more grateful to have stayed in this stunning rental. The staff at the building were all kind, making the stay that much more enjoyable. Plenty of carts upon arrival for easy load/unload. The grounds were perfectly manicured. Filtered water bottle fill in lobby, no need to buy water! There is plenty of space to layout on the lawn overlooking the ocean. Beach access is RIGHT THERE. The pool was taken care of really well! The unit itself was BREATHTAKING. You walk in to the most incredible ocean view. The unit is modern with a really high end beach vibe. The unit is VERY clean. You will want for nothing. They thought of it all in the unit. Beach supplies, kitchen supplies, laundry. JUST PERFECT all around. Communication was quick and prior to arrival we received a link to an entire homepage full of island and rental unit info. There is no better place and the price is an absolute steal! THANK YOU.

My overall experience with the rental was pretty good except 1 thing as mentioned below. Condo was very clean and organized, newly renovated and the host did a great job of providing us lot of starter supply including laundry detergent and dryer sheets which made us really enjoyed our time here without worrying about all the household errands to get the supply. I would highly recommend this place with a very good views of the ocean from the balcony and bed room! I would stay at this rental and with this host again!!

The only 1 issue I mentioned above was with AC. The AC was not working since we checked-in and I was told that it's the issue with the Resort AC system, but I don't think that was the case because the AC didn't work until I checked out after 7 days of rental and if it's an issue with the resort AC - I would think it would have been an issue for other condos too and in that case, it would have been fixed sooner because more than 1 condo is impacted. However, the host did a good job of providing us 2 portable ACs so it was not too bad, only thing with portal AC is it needs the exhaust so we need to leave a portion of windows open so portable AC is constantly running and still it doesn't cool enough because some portion of windows is open. Other than that, we did fully enjoy our stay here!

Maui condo review

The condo was perfect for our trip to Maui! The unit is beautifully remodeled and looked just as pictured. The ocean views are gorgeous and my husband and I really enjoyed drinking our coffee and whale watching from the lanai each morning. The condo was well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. Everything was clean, the bed was very comfortable, shower was great, space was comfortable, etc. One very minor suggestion (and this is honestly all I can think of!) would be to have a “normal” coffee maker in the cabinet for those of us who like to brew a whole pot rather than one cup at a time. We made it work, but it was a bit tedious to continually refill the tiny pod holder with our Maui-grown coffee every time we wanted another cup.

The property overall was great, too. Staff was friendly, facilities were clean, pool area was enjoyable, grills were immaculate. Communication with the host was easy via text with very quick responses.

It was very hard to leave at the end of our trip! Mahalo for an amazing home base for our vacation! We will not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Maui!

Had a great time. Room was very nice and clean. 2nd floor by the pool was slightly noisy but nothing too bad. Rental had all the 'toys' we needed to enjoy the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Overall enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Our only complaint was location to the pool when the complex does not enforce quiet time at 10 pm. Then, at 5 or 6 am the cleaning crew at the pool begins. So sleep was a challenge. But the unit and the view was amazing.
