Our family of 11 stayed in both houses. It really was a “magical “ experience. The views of the ocean and the mountains with the waterfalls were amazing.
Both houses were decorated in a comfortable and tasteful way.
There was room enough for all of us to enjoy meals together without the feeling of being too crowded.
One of the best things was not having to drive to the beach or into town. A young child could easily walk to both.
We would certainly come back here again.

We have visited Hanalei almost yearly for the last 20 plus years and Camp Magic 2 is one of the nicest properties we have rented to date. It was spacious and very clean, which I appreciate the most. Its been decorated super cute, with everything looking new and fresh.

The kitchen was perfectly equipped and everything was in very good condition, along with the high end cooktop and refrigerator. While I never thought we would use the hot tub, it was nice after a couple of cooler beach days and was also very clean. There was a nice, new BBQ which worked great and two sets of washers/dryers! That was awesome for our two families!

This house is perfect for two families traveling together ,as each family has it's own space with separate entrances. We had fun playing pool in the downstairs unit and also loved the two bikes, and foam boards to surf the small waves at Pine trees. Beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and snorkel equipment all were in good condition too. A miracle for a rental house!

Even though the property has another house that was rented out while we were there, we never had a problem with noise. Its a great set up if you have a large group with multiple families, and we hope next time to get our whole group together in both houses.
We definitely look forward to another stay at Camp Magic 2 again!

We went with a large group of extended family to Hanalei for the Christmas and New Year holiday. We rented both Camp Magic 1 and Camp Magic 2 during our stay. It was the perfect location and the perfect set up. They seemed to have thought of everything. The decor was so charming and also practical and well thought out. The bed linens were extra cozy and we loved how well the kitchens were set up. The kids (and adults) really enjoyed all of the recreation opportunities like the ping pong table, pool table, foosball table and two hot tubs. Everyone was able to be together but also spread out for quiet time when needed. The big dining table on the back porch was a great place for family meals looking out over the mountains, valley and up to the waterfalls. We simply walked across the street to take morning walks on the beach, surf, body board or just hang out. We were able to have a bonfire and fireworks on the beach on New Year's Eve. It was an unforgettable family vacation.

A wonderful house, we loved the pool table and the two floors. Walking to town and the beach was great! The only challenge was the rooster waking us up very early each morning. Although we didn't miss having a/c, it might have helped to have some noise to block rooster out. We ended up using our phone to play white noise but the kids didn't want the white noise. I think they would have benefited from a noisy fan or a/c.

This is the perfect beach house for active family. This was one of 3 places our large family rented for a week in Kauai. This house was perfect for us. Our teens stayed on first floor and loved having their own space. The adults stayed on 2nd floor and had a perfect retreat. The views in back are of the waterfalls and in front you can see the ocean. Great, breezy, updated home that is a convenient walking distance to beach and Hanalei.

We stayed in the house - three couples and one single person. We used the hot tub and pool table as well as upstairs and downstairs lounge areas, and the back upstairs dining area. The house is beautiful and really very conveniently located. No complaints! The management staff were also incredibly easy to deal with and very helpful in every way.

Hanalei, for me the most beautiful place on the most beautiful Hawaiian Island. The price is high but ok. The house was very clean and perfect locatet. Just minutes from the beach. There is a great barbecue grill (high quality). The beds are comfortable. The hot Tube, you think you don't need hot water in Hawaii. Its the best after surfing! Simply a great stay!

We loved staying here. The house was clean and incredibly well decorated, and the location cannot be beat - easy walk to town and easy walk to the beach. The house has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The one drawback is that the cleaning fee is pretty steep.

We shared an amazing week with family members from Seattle, Long Beach and Kona. It had been years since we had been there and the past vacations were all in the Poipu area. This was a perfect location with everything we could possibly need and then some. Fun shopping, great food, local music and of course the day trips to Kee, NaPali Coast and one day to Poipu. I will most definitely return to the wonderful town of Hanalei. The rain can be intense, but that was also part of the charm.

We booked this house because we had family meeting and staying in other places in Hanalei, our house ended up being the entertaining house. We were able to comfortably cook and entertain and our family loved to hang at our place because it was the best (layout, space, decoration, seating) There were 4 of us and a 3 year old on the trip and it had plenty of space(one night we had a family sleep-over and 8 people slept very comfortably) Krishna (sp?) the concierge was freakin awesome. She had paddle boards and bikes waiting for us. The house is literally a 5 minute walk to a few different beach access points and 5 minute walk to the cute town. We will definitely stay in this house again next year.

The property was exactly as described! We had a wonderful time, the location was perfect within a short walk to the beach. The house had everything you need, clean, and very well maintained. The view out the back porch is exceptional and perfect for morning coffee or nap in the afternoon! Walk to town for groceries or restaurants, walk to surf, or just walk. We had the greatest time staying in Hanalei Bay and at the Malapua House. There were 8 of us staying at the house - we rented the entire house and there was more than enough room for all of us. The house was basically well supplied and the location was perfect for us. It was a very short walk to Hanlei Bay and to Hanalei town. The town offered Kayaking, snorkeling, Napoli Coast tours etc. You never have to leave the north shore if you don't want to leave. Everything is within a short drive or walking distance. Loved the local color of the town and especially the local people. Hawaii Life was very helpful, especially Nickie and Krisha. There were a couple of issues resulting from the fact that the original contract was done with a private owner who then sold the house to Hawaii Life. We definitely plan to return to Kauai again and would consider renting Malapua House again.

We rented this house and the one in front of it for 8 days. We had a large group for a family reunion of sorts and we had a fabulous time. The house was more than adequate and one block from Hanalei Bay--couldn't be better. The kitchen was perfect and I never tired of looking at the mountains from the back lanai. There are bedrooms upstairs with more downstairs, a pool table, a hot tub and a great BBQ grill. I would recommend this house to any and all.

An amazing house to stay at, newly renovated and fantastic location only 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk to the town. The hot tub and back deck with mountain views were stunning. The agents we dealt with for the property were also very helpful and friendly. I would stay at this property again in a heartbeat.

We rented both upstairs and downstairs of this property both were clean and well outfitted, there wasn't anything we really needed during our stay that wasn't there and very high end. It is close to downtown and to the beach with many amenities including a private six person hot tub. If you are traveling with multiple families like we were, the upstais and downstairs made it very easy.

We rented both houses on the Property. It was perfect for our family gathering. Our son rented a house a block away for his wedding, so the location was perfect. Very close to beach access across the street. It was a short walk to town. The property was very clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. The courtyard between the two houses was landscaped very nicely and was a great place to gather. The upstairs had two large bedrooms and a great lanai, with a large table and a couch and chair. The downstairs is separate with two bedrooms and a kitchenette( no stove but fridge, coffee pot, sink, dishes, etc.)also a pool table. It exceeded our expectations.

We had an excellent time. My only complaint is that there were 6 beach chairs for 8 people. Overall it was an incredible experience.

Great rental fully equipped with modern furnishings! Had everything you needed for cooking full dinners and BBQing. Easy walk to town and all amenities.

The entire experience was truly one of a kind. The house was great. It was in a perfect location. And was very clean and modern. Our entire family of 5 was very comfortable staying at Camp Magic 2 with lots of space for the kids. We would definitely recommend it.

Nice house, in the most beautiful area of Kauai. The beach and shops are easily accessible and the house sits in a quiet street.

The upstairs area is great, with a kitchen well set up to cook for many people - it even has a waffle iron!

The two bedrooms downstairs are not very well ventilated and a bit small, probably more suited to kids than adults.

Awesome, from the homes to the locale to the personnel at Hawaii life. Was a great spot for 3 families and 13 people. The houses are even better than they look on-line and fully stocked from game rooms to towels and dishes.
