Experience the best of oceanfront resort living in this 2-bedroom condo with a loft, comfortably accommodating 6 guests. Located on the top floor, this unit offers breathtaking, unobstructed views of the ocean, whales, and stunning sunsets from the living room and lanai. Enjoy the convenience of being just a stone's throw away from the seawall and ocean.

The condo features 2 bedrooms plus a loft as the third bedroom, and 2 full baths. A split unit air-conditioner is situated in the living room, covering the loft area as well. The kitchen is fully equipped with all major and minor appliances, and the living room boasts a queen pull-out sofa bed, recliners, a dining room table, and a 52" wall-mounted TV with a Blu-ray player. The spacious lanai, furnished with bar-height seating for 5, extends your living area outdoors.

The master bedroom offers a king-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom has a queen bed and is next to the main bathroom. The loft provides additional sleeping space with 1 single bed and 1 queen bed.

Papakea Resort features beautifully manicured grounds, lit tennis courts, yoga and water aerobics classes, tennis lessons, two heated swimming pools with hot tubs and cabanas, putting greens, shuffleboards, and BBQ areas. Enjoy low-density living with direct access to pristine beaches.

Please note that Papakea charges a $17 USD per day facility fee for the first 10 consecutive days in a 30-day period, covering parking, tennis, pickle-ball, shuffleboard court use, Wi-Fi, a full HD cable package, and local phone calls.

This condo is NOT BRAND NEW! Very dated with worn out furniture and stained carpets throughout . Every vent from bathrooms to windows were caked with dust/dirt/grime. When first entering it seemed fine. Once opening things up the lack of upkeep was very evident. I've taken pictures of all this but don't know where I can send them.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this property needs attention. Some of the issues reported were taken off during our stay. However, there are other items still needing to be addressed.

Oceanfront view was spectacular. Watched whales morning and night from our lanai. Beautiful. Great location - close to food truck park where we could support the local Maui vendors.
Maui Activity Concierge (Candice Negron) was fabulous. She coordinated great excursions for the group and was extremely helpful throughout the process. Candice even suggested the placing of flower leis and flower petals in the ocean during our whale watching excursion as a way of remembering a loved ones who passed (my wife Jane/other traveler's husband Carlos). It was moving and memorable. Other members on the voyage were also impressed and moved by the idea.
Unit does need some upgrading in areas of carpet, trim falling from wall, screen door doesn't close/latch, trim peeling away from drawers/cabinets and missing wall panel in bedroom laying against mirror on floor.

We stayed in A403, it’s a lovely place with a great view and beautiful area. Upon arrival though, we were told the place was clean, but the kitchen floors were dirty and some of the walls were too. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time there.

The location was amazing. Looking out over the ocean we saw dozens of humpback whales. Occasionally a sea turtle would swim by searching for food. We were fortunate to see a monk seal and a few sea otters. I was more than happy with the location.

This property had a horrible infestation of sugar ants. Multiple black ants traps were left on the kitchen counter making the kitchen unsafe for food due to the chemicals. Cockroaches were also present. We have stayed at Papakea for the past 15 years and have never encountered bugs in the units we have rented. Carpets in the bedrooms need to be replaced or cleaned...they were stained and filthy. The only thing good about this condo was the view, it was amazing!

The condo is very nice and updated which can accommodate 8 people. The view from the balcony is incredible looking straight out to the ocean looking at the islands of Molakai and Lanai. Sunsets are great right from the balcony. You can go out in the ocean in front of the rock wall during low tide and there is a sandy beach on either side of the resort. There is one AC in the living room so fans are used to help circulate the air. Keep the balcony shades closed to help keep the sun out to keep the condo cooler. I would definitely recommend this condo.

Love staying at Papakea resort Maui, Overall was satisfied with everything, but the unit A403 needs some updates, carpet in bedrooms was very dirty, furniture and kitchen appliances could use replacing, None of that kept us from enjoying everything

Furnashings outdated, exposed wiring, disgusting dirty bedroom carpets, and cookware was a horrible miss mash of small wear. The service desk and concierge were very busy and didn't go out of their way to provide friendly service -- we will not be returning!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The Papakea resort is perfectly locatedto the beach, walking distance to stores and restaurants and a quick drive to Lahaina. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The two pools are lovely. Our condo had a balcony that faced the beach. This was so lovely. The only downside is I wish the unit had better air conditioning, although I understand that a majority of Maui is like this. It only had one window unit for the 3 bedroom condo. The average daily temperature in Maui during our stay was about 88.

We had a wonderful stay at Papakea resort unit A403. Most gorgeous view of the sunsets and ocean and all we could ask for. Clean, plenty of beach and bath towels for 8.
Beds were comfortable and everything we needed in the kitchen.
The only negative would be the condition of the carpets in the bedrooms.
I would recommend replacing the carpet with tiles in order to maintain the look of the condo. Carpets are stained and used looking.
Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

Papakea and this particular vacation rental were perfect. Plenty of space for my family of six. Great, well stocked kitchen. Beautiful view. Not nearly as crowded as some resorts can get. Felt like a quiet, private oasis for my family.

first day- door fell off dresser,toilet backed up,mirror doors would not open, place was a little dirty( only surface cleaning was done)
no lights working in the loft( all light blubs were burned out)after 2 days we noticed that the A/C was not working to good-we find that the A/C was dirty filter was clogged So Disgusting. also both bathroom fans were the same way(just no filter needed in those fans.
On a Good note when we call to get these items fixed. They did a Great job fixing them.
We did have mid weeks cleaning done - That went Great-New bed sheets, New Beach Towels for the whole place.

for Papakea Resort - We love the place!!!!

only issues not enough Lounge chairs at the pools
On Thurdays Free Mai Tai Drinks ( how do you run out of Rum so fast?) every Thursday we were there.

The location was great, the view was amazing, everyone was good to deal with. Had a problem with the plumbing the last four days which made things very disruptive. Without the plumbing issue (probably not a regular thing) it was a great visit. Second time at Papakea and would go again.

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect space for our big family! The loft was so great for the kids to sleep and hang out in. The ocean is literally 25 feet from the lanai where you have a unobstructed view of the whales who were jumping all day long when we were here.

This condo was very clean and had everything we needed. Spices, beach chairs, an ice chest, and beach towels.

The property was quiet and it was easy to find a lounge chair around the pool. Every afternoon after the beach we would pour a cocktail and sit in the hot tub.

Everything you need is walking distance from Papakea. We can't wait to come back again!
